Together with Maekawa Kunio and Kenzo Tange, Togo Murano (1891~1984) was an architect who had a significant influence on modern Japanese architecture and future generations. Centered around 80 architectural models made from 80 design drawings (including those of buildings not actually constructed) chosen from among the 50,000 bequeathed to Kyoto Institute of Technology’s Arts and Crafts Museum following his death, this volume also contains design drawing originals, sketches by Murano, and photographs showing the current condition his works, and is the first publication to give a comprehensive English introduction to Togo Murano’s rich world of architecture.
