Enjoy a little gift from the deer of Nara.

Nara Park is unique in the world for its population of more than 1,600 wild deer, which happily roam the grounds, offering blissful sights of the lithe creatures against a backdrop of ancient structures and rich forested beauty—sights that have endured here for centuries.

This truly special postcard book brings together images by Kazuto Sato, a nature photographer who has spent years portraying the deer of Nara. From vibrant shots capturing the animals as they are here and nowhere else to miraculous, one-of-a-kind moments, his affection toward his dear subjects comes through in every carefully selected work.

Flip through the splendid images as you would with a photo book, or detach a favorite page to send to someone special or display in your room—the possibilities are many! The book’s compact size and bilingual Japanese/English text make it perfect not only as a souvenir of Nara, but as a gift to a loved one on any occasion.
