This extraordinary collection consists of two series of photographs that have been Mikiya Takimoto’s lifework: Space, a collection of portraits of the new space shuttle which were taken during numerous visits to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, and Land, in which he has documented the ancient tranquility of the living Earth.
The laws of life and the universe, expressed through the interplay of the two completely different series of images.

本书是由泷本干也毕生拍摄的两个系列组成。
他曾多次访问肯尼迪航天中心并拍摄下的
新航天飞机的肖像《SPACE 太空》和
记录的自古以来静谧的地球变迁《LAND 大地》，
通过这两个对立系列的交集，讲述了宇宙和生命的规律。

1974年出生于爱知县。主要从事于广告摄影。
主要奖项包括纽约ADC奖、东京ADC奖和戛纳广告节上获奖等。
他作为摄影师拍摄的第一部电影作品《如父如子》（导演：是枝裕和、主演：福山雅治）于2013年秋季上映。
