The year 2020 marks a quarter century since Akira Minagawa launched his fashion brand minä perhonen. Under the concept of “special clothing for everyday life,” the brand has nurtured a one-of-a-kind approach to product creation, most notably through the use of original textiles developed in close interaction with makers throughout Japan. This very special treasury features twenty-five years’ worth of fabrics, apparel, design drawings and illustrations, factory and studio photos, and comments by Minagawa, all brought together through the keyword tsuzuku—a word with multiple meanings, including "continuing," "connecting," and "circulating," that evoke the creative energy generated by synergy and linkage.
