KG+ Select, the award branch of KG+, kicked off in 2019 as an open competition for photographers around the world. Ten artists are selected by judges and given space and assistance for setting up their own exhibition. During the month that they are exhibiting their work, internationally renowned judges choose one out of the ten as the winner of the KG+ Select Award. The winner is awarded a subsidy to hold an exhibition at Kyotographie the following year. KG+ Select attracts widespread media attention and gives participants the opportunity to join the Kyotographie community, promoting the development of promising artists.
